Exciting changes are coming to Cisco's CyberOps Associate, Professional,
and Specialist certifications.
Cisco's CyberOps certifications will be updated to Cisco Cybersecurity certifications.
Effective January 21, 2025 Cisco CyberOps certifications will be updated to Cisco Cybersecurity certifications and will include new AI-related exam topics. With the help of predictive AI in the Cybersecurity Associate and AI-powered and AI-driven analysis in Cybersecurity Professional certifications, you can prepare yourself for the latest in AI-driven Cybersecurity trends and job roles.
Exam update details
The CyberOps Associate exam 200-201 CBROPS v1.1 is being updated to v1.2.
- Last date to test for 200-201 CBROPS v1.1 is January 20, 2025.
- First date to test for 200-201 CBROPS v1.2 is January 21, 2025.

The CyberOps Professional and Specialist exams: 350-201 CBRCOR v1.1 and 300-215 CBRFIR are being updated to v1.2.
- Last date to test for 350-201 CBRCOR and 300-215 CBRFIR v1.1 exams is January 20, 2025.
- First date to test for 350-201 CBRCOR and 300-215 CBRFIR v1.2 exams is January 21, 2025.

What changes are happening to Cisco’s CyberOps certifications?
Effective January 21, 2025, CyberOps certifications will be updated to Cisco Cybersecurity certifications. This change includes the introduction of new AI-related exam topics.
Will the certification exam names and numbers change?
No, the names and exam numbers for all certifications will remain the same. Only the certification names will change from CyberOps to Cybersecurity.
Are there any changes to the Threat Hunting and Defending Specialist certification?
The certification name will change from Cisco Certified CyberOps Specialist - Threat Hunting and Defending to Cisco Certified Specialist - Cybersecurity Threat Hunting and Defending on January 21, 2025. No changes to the exam itself (300-220 CBRTHD 1.0) are currently planned.
What happens to my existing CyberOps certification after the updates?
Starting January 21, 2025, anyone holding a CyberOps certification will automatically be recognized as holding a Cybersecurity certification. You will also be able to access and download the updated certification badges from the SSO (CertMetrics) platform.
What if I recertify before the changes take effect?
If you recertify on or before January 20, 2025, you will receive the CyberOps certification/badge. After January 21, 2025, you will have access to the updated Cybersecurity certification badge.
Are the CyberOps Associate and Professional certifications being retired?
No, the CyberOps Associate and Professional certifications are not being retired. They are simply being renamed. Candidates will still need to pass the required exams to earn the certification.
