IT training and consulting business expands in South America
Fast Lane opens a new training centre in Argentina led by new country manager Carlos Laborda
2nd April 2012 – The IT training expert Fast Lane is continuing with its strategy of international expansion. It recently opened a new branch in Buenos Aires in order to be able to provide IT professionals in the Argentinian capital with a range of training and education opportunities. The main focus of the new centre’s activities is on Cisco, NetApp and VMware training courses. In conjunction with this new opening, Carlos Laborda has been appointed Country Manager and will be responsible for managing the new training centre and the company’s business activities in Argentina.
Carlos Laborda is an experienced IT business director, mainly focused in Training Business of the world´s most relevant vendors, including Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks, Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems. In the last 18 years, he worked for Logicalis, IT College, Cisco and Sun Microsystems managing their Training Business in Latin America with outstanding results, not only in training and consulting sales but also managing operations and finance aspects of the business. Carlos studied Business Administration and he attended several sales, business and management programs, including Management Development and Top Management Programs at IAE Business School of Business. He is also a DDI Certified Instructor of Leadership and has extensive experience in people management. He was honored with the Learning Business Director of the year Award 2009 by CIO Latin America and was recognized by the Ministry of Labor (Argentina) due to the creation and execution of Entertech Program, a massive training program delivered in Argentina, funded by the government and free for more than 10000 students in social risk, low income and/or disabilities.
