For Diversity in the Work Environment
Fast Lane signs the “Charta der Vielfalt”
Hamburg, April 2023 – Fast Lane signs the “Charta der Vielfalt” and visibly commits to an appreciative and open-minded working environment. The “Charta der Vielfalt” is an initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions under the patronage of chancellor Olaf Scholz.
By signing the document, Fast Lane sends a clear signal for diversity and tolerance in the world of work and signals the appreciation of all employees regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and world view, sexual orientation and social origin.
We come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences and recognize that when we all come together, we can accomplish our goals. Different cultures, diversity, equity, and inclusion are the pillars of our workforce and we champion inclusive strategies to drive value and impact. By signing the Diversity Charter, we are now clearly positioning ourselves towards our employees, our customers and our business partners,
said Torsten Poels, CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Fast Lane Group.
Our society is more diverse and differentiated than it has ever been: the commitment to diversity is more important nowadays for a respectful and appreciative coexistence at the workplace. By signing the “Charta der Vielfalt” Fast Lane commits to recognise and respect the diversity of the society and its needs inside and outside the organisation,
says Charter Executive Director Corina Christen. Those who sign the document clearly demonstrate that the diverse needs of employees must be taken into account and firmly anchored in the organisation's internal structures. Because diversity is not only an attitude that is worth standing up for every day, but above all must be followed by action,
adds Charter Managing Director Franzi von Kempis.
Diversity management is a cross-cutting issue. The idea behind it: An organisational culture in which diversity is lived as a matter of course leads to all employees contributing their potential in the best possible way. It also promotes the diversity of ideas or products for which the organisation stands. More and more companies and institutions are seeing these benefits: around 4,900 corporations, companies, public institutions, associations, foundations and federations have now signed the Diversity Charter. Approximately 15 million employees benefit from it.
