Course Overview
This three-day instructor-led course (formerly known as Installation, Administration, and Troubleshooting) will assist the participant to successfully install, manage, and troubleshoot Dell PowerEdge servers, providing best practice information via instructor-led training and hands-on activities. This course is maintained to include the latest generations of Dell PowerEdge rack and tower servers. For the students new to servers, we recommend successfully completing Dell PowerEdge Server Concepts prior to taking this course. This course is part of the recommended training for the Dell PowerEdge Operate 2023 certification. (Certification exam not included.)

This course is intended for individuals who configure, manage, and troubleshoot Dell PowerEdge servers.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify the function of server components.
- Perform PowerEdge administration activities.
- Use the iDRAC UI troubleshooting tools.
Course Content
The content of this course is designed to support the course objectives.
- Analyze the PowerEdge server components such as processor, memory, cooling, controllers, power, etc.
- Log in and navigate the iDRAC UI
- Identify in-band and out-of-band management tools
- Manage storage, virtual media, networking, user access, etc.
- Use service-related tools such as visual indicators, logs, captures, and diagnostics to aid in troubleshooting PowerEdge server issues.
