Course Overview
This course provides in-depth technical knowledge about the administration of OpenText Network Automation (NA) application. It is intended for those who might need to use NA features. This four-day course is a mixture of lectures and hands-on exercises. This course is designed for users who already have some prior knowledge and hands-on experience with Network Automation. Highlights:
- Device Driver Development
- Administration with APIs using Java, Perl, and SOAP interfaces
- Inventory Database Reporting using SQL
- Integration with LDAP and TACACS+ for security
- Advanced Command-Line interface options
Prerequisites
To be successful in this course, you should have the following prerequisites or knowledge:
- Prior knowledge and hands-on experience with NA v2022.x and/or participation in the NA120 -Network Automation Essentials course
Course Objectives
On completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Implement the multi-server Network Automation (NA) configuration to achieve resilience and scalability
- Use the API or Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) interfaces to achieve rich integrations with the third-party or in house software
- Implement integration to Network Node Manager i (NNMi) and Operations Orchestration
- Use Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS+) as NA external authentication
- Create reports extracting information from the NA database directly or using the APIs
- Build custom device drivers
- Maximize performance of an NA server and perform in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting
