Phase Three

The duration of phase three is usually 8 weeks.

Learning Objectives

  • Rigorously apply and refine the problem solving process by performing multiple full-length CCIE-level practice labs. There is absolutely no substitute for extensive hands-on practice.
  • Perform multiple graded assessment labs to compare the score received in the labs themselves with the scores the student anticipated to receive. Use a task tracking worksheet to perform this comparison. If the scores received are significantly lower than the expected scores, then revisit the verification process.

Self-Paced Learning Activities

  • Perform multiple LAB workbook labs (ideally fifteen labs)
  • Perform additional graded assessment labs
  • Participate in additional sessions with the assigned mentor

Based upon their performance with phase three learning and assessment activities, the mentor will advise the students when to attempt the actual CCIE Routing & Switching lab ex-am.

Note: It is recommended that students attend the second advanced workshop at the beginning of phase three.
