Course Overview
This course introduces edge computing, the SUSE Edge Platform and SUSE Edge for Telco version 3. Students will learn about the architecture and components of SUSE Edge and how to use the Edge Image Builder tool to create images for edge deployments. The course covers various deployment scenarios, including standalone, phone home, and directed network provisioning, and provides hands-on experience in deploying and managing SUSE Edge clusters.
This course helps prepare students for the SUSE Certified Deployment Specialist (SCDS) in SUSE Edge certification exam.
Who should attend
This course is designed for systems administrators responsible for provisioning edge cluster nodes and deploying Kubernetes clusters on them. The key component used for this is Edge Image Builder and output images it creates.
Prerequisites
A good understanding and experience working with Kubernetes clusters is essential. Operating skills on Linux terminal shells and managing YAML files are also required.
